You might be a redskin if you know Don Burnstick! Don has certainly inspired a generation of First Nation comedians and then some. As a Cree born in Alexander First Nation in Edmonton, Alberta, Don had a rough start growing up. His home was quite violent, he began roaming the city streets and was addicted to drugs and alcohol. At the age of 21 years, he sobered up and pursued his education in holistic urban youth development and drug and alcohol counseling.
Today, Don travels the continent performing stand-up comedy for what he calls "holistic healing". By combining humour and healing he has become a significant beacon of light in the eyes of our youth. Unlike any comedian before, Don has brought to light our Native habits, likes, dislikes and told them in an epic performance that we will never forget.
"Our Elders say "Laughter is Good Medicine". As Don shares this traditional teaching you will be enlightened, inspired and definitely entertained"
